2 DIU Students Sajjadur and Prapty win BASIS National ICT Award-2020
Two students of Daffodil International University have won the 4th BASIS National ICT Award-2020 for developing educational software. The two students are Prapty Rahman, a 9th semester student of Computer Science and Engineering Department (CSE) and Sazzadur Rahman, alumnus of the same department. Sazzadur Rahman won the Champion Award for his ‘School 360 Degree’ project in Regional, Rural and Remote Services sub category and Prapty Rahman won the Merit Award for her project ‘Ministry of Codes’ in student category.
On June 27, Honorable Minister of Commerce of the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh Mr. Tipu Munshi, MP was present as the Chief Guest while State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Mr. Junaid Ahmed Palak MP were present as the special guest at the BASIS National ICT Awards 2020 distribution ceremony and handed over the prizes to the winners. BASIS President Syed Almas Kabir presided over the BASIS National ICT Awards 2020. BASIS personnel Ms. Farhana A. Rahman (Senior Vice President), Mr. Shoaib Ahmed Masood (Vice President, Administration), Mr. Tamjid Siddique Spondon (Director and Convener of BASIS ICT Awards 2020), Mr. Rashed Kamal (Co-Convener, BASIS ICT Awards 2020) were also present in the program.
For awarding the BASIS National ICT Award, BASIS selects and promotes innovative and promising IT projects of individuals, students, entrepreneurs, SMEs, and IT companies in Bangladesh to build and promote Digital Bangladesh. This year, a total of 59 awards have been given in 36 categories.
