‘Clean Hands for All’ is the theme of Global Wash Day-2019.This is significantly celebrated every year on the 15th of October. Children of Daffodil International School-English Version celebrated the Global Hand-washing Day in an eventful way, along with teachers. The Honorable Principal Dr. Md. Mahmudul Hasan Sir paid a visit and talked about the importance of Hand Wash and cleanliness among the students.

Daffodil International School EM, Dhanmondi organised the day in tribute to all the teachers around the world. To raise awareness among the students, DIS EM DHN arranged a didactic activity on “Global Handwash Day” among the students from playgroup to grade 3 on October 15 2019, Tuesday. They have learnt about the importance of cleaning hands, maintaining hygiene and preventing diseases which might be caused by using dirty hands. Students also learnt ten steps on how to wash hands in proper ways. Students promised to follow these steps regularly and share these lessons. Healthy Hands! Healthy Us!

Preschool of Daffodil International School English Medium, Dhanmondi arranged their Field Trip to Shishumela on October 17, 2019. The trip started with lots of excitement and best wishes from Dr Md Mahmudul Hassan, Principal.  All the kids had lots of fun and enjoyed their outing under the guidance of Dilshat Mainuddin, Preschool Coordinator, DIS. It created a great bonding with parents, teachers and students to have fun and enjoy together.

Parents-Teachers Meeting (2019 -20) was held successfully on October 19, 2019 in presence of Mrs. Shahana Khan, Founder Principal, DIS; Dr Mahmudul Hassan, Vice Principal, DIS; Dr. Md. 2nd Bangladesh Robot Olympiad was held at the TSC Auditorium, Dhaka University on September 6th and 7th, 2019. Students from schools and colleges participated in this event. The competition was held under different phases such as Robotic Quiz, Robot Gathering, Robot In Movie and Creative Category. Students participated this event with great enthusiasm. Bethi Bainik, student of Grade 6, Daffodil International School, English Medium (Dhanmondi Branch) won the silver medal at the Junior Robotic Quiz Competition.

DIS EM DHN preschoolers celebrated Grandparents Day on 8 September 2019  . Students were busy making cards and preparing rhymes to surprise their grandparents. Grandparents were invited and enjoyed a very emotional surprise from their grandchildren. Grandparents were very happy and emotional too. The Grandparents Day is globally celebrated in many countries around the world.
