DIIT, A concern of the Daffodil family endlessly adding value in the field of education in Bangladesh, which carries out various activities to spread quality education among all educational institutions in Bangladesh.

To keep the expansion uninterrupted, the Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management inaugurated their club by the name of “Tourism Society of DIIT” on 27th September 2020. The honorable principal of DIIT, Dr. Mohammed Shakhawat Hossain announced the executive committee 2020-2021 on 14th October 2020. The program was presided by the Head of the Department of THM, Mohammad Badruddozza Talukdar. The founding convener of the club, Md. Shaifullar Rabbi, presented the club’s vision, mission, activities and future plan of the club. In that program, the honorable principal was the chief guest and Program Chair, Mohammad Badruddozza Talukdar announced the honorable principal, Dr. Mohammed Shakhawat Hossain, as the chief advisor of “Tourism Society of DIIT”. Other faculties of THM, Jahidul Islam Rony, Tanjila Afroz Mou, and more than 100 students were present in that program and gave their valuable opinion regarding the club issues.

DIIT IT Club organized two workshops in October 2020. The first was “Django Web Frame Session”, addressed by Harun Ur Rashid, a former CSE student at DIIT, who had a broad knowledge of the Python programming language for six years. He spoke briefly about Django in his speech, which is known as a powerful framework in the Python programming language.

The second workshop was a joint venture between DIIT IT Club and Skilled Jobs on October 15, 2020. Data scientist Mr. Jasim Uddin and “Skill Jobs” software developer and former DIIT student, Mr. Mahmudul Haque were the keynote speakers of the workshop. They talked about the Python programming language and the fields related to Python. The whole workshop was promoted on Facebook Live with the participation of a great number of students, which really encouraged students to build a career in this field.

DIIT is always dedicated and caring for developing students ’talents. Therefore, DIIT has a continuous plan to organize several programs to improve students’ talents and thinking.
