With the evergreen song ‘Amar bhaiyer rokte rangano Ekushey February‘ in their voices, all  students of DIIT, Chattogram were swarming the Shaheed Minar in front of the Institute on the very early of 21st February 2019 to pay their earnest tribute to the Language heroes, along with throngs of people walking barefoot, singing songs of patriotism are paying homage to the Language Movement martyrs, who sacrificed their lived for mother tongue Bangla marking a day of supreme sacrifice.

The Principal of the Institute placed a wreath at the altar along with the teachers, administration and students. They stood in solemn silence for some time as a mark of profound respect to the memories of the language heroes.

A rally was held started from the Institute to Agrabad and then to Chowmuhuni and finally returned to the Institute. On the program, various cultural performances, patriotic songs, poetry recitation and drama were performed by the students keeping the language movement in 1952 in the soul
