BSDI Celebrated World Youth Skills Day 2021
The world is passing through a very typical time. This year, the World Youth Skills Day takes place at a challenging time when the need for skills is higher than ever. Since 2015, the world Youth Skills Day has been celebrated globally and Bangladesh has also celebrated the day along with other countries in the world. This year’s theme is “Skills for a Resilient Youth”. On this occasion, BSDI organized several online activities for two days. As part of this two day program, a special online discussion meeting was held on 15 July 2021 Mr. Dulal Krishna Saha, Executive Chairman National Skill Development Authority, Mr. Md. Helal Uddin NDC, Director General, Board of Technical Education, Mr. Md. Abdullah Al Mahmood Zaman Chairman, Routine Responsibility and Secretary, Bangladesh Technical Education Board, Mr. Mohammad Nuruzzaman, Honorable CEO, Daffodil Family, Mr. Md. Anisuzzaman, Program Officer, ILO, Mr. Iqbal Hossain Education Specialist, UNICEF, also Mr. K M Hasan Ripon, Executive Director, Bangladesh Skill Development Institute was present as a guest on the occasion. The guests had discussed the skills needed after the Corona pandemic and the impact the Pandemic has had on the skills demanded in the world. They called upon the youth to become proficient in various skills and stressed the importance of the role of youth in global challenges in the future.
Besides this, a webinar on youth skills certification methods and procedures named “Recognition of Prior Learning also held on as a part of the program where Mr. Md. Shahjahan, Deputy Director, BTEB, Mr. Mohammad Nuruzzaman, Honorable CEO, Daffodil Family, Mr. K M Hasan Ripon, Executive Director, BSDI was present as the program guest and Mr. K M Parvez Boby was presided the program.
