Daffodil International University (DIU) has reached the milestone of publishing 1000 research articles in Scopus-a world-renowned research publishing Institute. Daffodil University ranks third among all the universities in Bangladesh in terms of the number of research articles published in Scopus. Daffodil University is ranked 15th out of 144 universities in the world. This information was published on the website of Scopus on September 26, 2020.

Daffodil International University has been emphasizing research since its inception. Since the establishment of the research department of Daffodil International University in 2017, the university has started to take place in various prestigious rankings in the world. Touching this milestone in Scopus is a unique achievement of the research department of Daffodil International University. This achievement indicates the excellence and quality of scientific research articles of Daffodil University. Needless to say, the research department of Daffodil University has been able to institutionalize the research.

As per the data of Scopus website, retrieved on 26 September 2020, Daffodil InternationalUniversity was the top private university in Bangladesh with 341 Scopus indexed researchpublications in 2019. At the same time, the Scopus publications of BRAC and North SouthUniversity were found 306 and 254 respectively. It is worth mentioning that DIU was ranked 4^th among all the public and private universities in Bangladesh as per the number of Scopuspublications in 2019.

Scopus is the largest abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature – scientificjournals, books and conference proceedings. Worldwide, Scopus is used by more than 3,000academic, government and corporate institutions and is the main data source that supports the Research Intelligence portfolio.
