Daffodil International University Stands next to Flood Victims
The Flood Situation in Sylhet took the Epidemic picture this year. Many people and organizations came forward to solve it. Following this, the students of Daffodil International University and its 33 clubs distributed food, saline, medicines and essential items to more than a thousand families in different areas of Sunamganj. Recently during the Eid Vacation, a special delegation comprising different club members and faculty members from Daffodil International University led by Dr. Sheikh Mohammad Allayar, Head, Department of Multimedia and Creative Technology and Kazi Mod. Diljeb Kabir, Deputy Director (Administration) distributed the relief supplies.
The special team distributed relief in Bichna, Kalipur, Mirzapur, Ghanbari, Moulinagar, Jallabaj, Kamlabaj, Hasnabaj, Kutubpur, Bhimkhali Bazar and surrounding areas of Bhimkhali Union under Jamalganj police station in Sunamganj district. All the daily necessities including rice, pulses, oil, potatoes, onions, spices, soap, dry food, and first aid kits were in this distribution material.
“As part of our humanitarian and social responsibility, we have tried to stand by the people of Sylhet,” Daffodil International University said. However, the most significant and inspiring thing was the spontaneous participation of our ordinary students. They have participated in this activity of the university on their own initiative.
The event was named ‘Heart for Humanity. The ‘Heart for Humanity’ event started on June 19 and lasted for 11 days.
