International Mother Language Day observed in DIC
International Mother Language Day was celebrated at Daffodil International college campus on 21st February, 2020 paying due solemnity to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for our beloved mother tongue.
In keeping with the age old tradition, the entire DIC Family led by Honorable Principal attended the ‘Provat Ferry’ singing the historical song “ Amar Bhaier Rakte Rangano Ekushey February, Ami Ki Bhulite Pari?” A Symbolic Shahid Minar was made by the students with the help of the teachers. They decorated the college campus with colorful Bangla letters and drew Alpana in front of the Auditorium and main gate of DIC.
With a view to commemorating the language martyrs, a discussion and cultural program was held with the participation of the students, teachers and the faculty members. A photo exhibition was organized by DIC Photography Club. A Letter Writing Competition was also held and prizes were distributed among the winners by the Honorable Principal of the college . The program started with the recitation from the Holy Quran and ended with the valuable speech of Lt. Col Md. Zahirul Islam (Retd), Principal, DIC.
