A magnificent orientation program was held on 26^th January, 2020 (Sunday) by the Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management (THM) of Daffodil Institute of IT for the newly admitted students of 5^th batch. The program commenced with a warm welcome by the students of 4^th batch to the fresher on behalf of the department of THM. Mohammed Shakhawat Hossain, Principal, DIIT, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The program was presided over by Md. Badruddoza Talukder, Head of the department of THM as well as the Heads and Coordinators of BBA, CSE, MBA, respectively.

“Nowadays, to gather knowledge, students have to adapt with modern technology in their respective areas of study. There is no way of alternation. Above all he/she must be a good human being.’’, the Principal said in his welcoming speech. He also introduced the fresher about the rules and regulations, discipline, safety and the care of the various facilities in the institute.

The Md. Badruddoza Talukder, Head of the department of THM said that the tourism and hospitality industry demand more skilled people than in the past. THM department of DIIT is working very hard to fulfill the demand by creating skilled manpower in this sector.

The event was concluded by a bright and shining cake-cutting ceremony and cultural event by the students of the department of THM of DIIT.
