HRDI organized a workshop on ‘Survey & Surveillance’ in association with the Public Health Department of DIU that was held on Sunday, 19 May 2019 at Banquet Hall, DIU. With the objective “How to do survey & surveillance and which time it is needed to do?”, the workshop was targeted for the Somalian students of the MPH program of the department.

The workshop was conducted by three prominent figures of Public Health arena in Bangladesh. The session was started with Prof. Dr. Mahfuzar Rahman, Adviser, Department of Community Medicine, Anwer Khan Modern Medical College, Dhaka after the opening speech delivered by Prof. Dr. Harun Ar Rashid, Head of PH dept, DIU. The second session was conducted by Prof. Dr. Md. Anisur Rahman, Principal, State College of Health Sciences, Dhanmondi, Dhaka. The closing session was conducted by Professor Dr. Harun-Ar-Rashid, Head, Department of Public Health, DIU. Ms Rahima Mirza, In Charge, HRDI, thanked all the participants for their interest in such workshop and invited them to contact HRDI for arranging any such effective workshops or training program. The day long Training Session came to an end by distributing certificates among the participants.
