Country’s first ‘Virtual Job Fest-2020’ held from July3-5 for creating 500 virtual employment

Skill.jobs and Bangladesh Society for Human Resource Management (BSHRM) are jointly organizing ‘Virtual Job Fest-2020’ for the first time in Bangladesh. This Job Fest was held on 3-5 July 2020. This Fest has created at least 500 virtual jobs and opened the scope for virtual employment for more than five hundred job seekers.

This information were given through an “Online Meet the Press” held on the Facebook page of Skill Jobs today on June 13, 2020 (Saturday). Mr. Mohammad Nuruzzaman, Chief Executive Officer of Daffodil Family, Mr. Mashequr Rahman Khan, President of BSHRM, Mr. Nazrul Islam Apon, General Secretary of BSHRM, Mr. Mostafa Arif Mahmud, Executive Councillor of BSHRM and Mr. K M Hasan Ripon, Convener of Virtual Job Fest-2020  spoke at the Meet the Press.

The Meet the Press informed that because of the epidemic coronavirus, we have entered a new phase of transformation which is changing the way we live, the way we work, the way we think. Almost all types of organizations and institutions have changed their way of working by focusing on the term social distance. Many organizations have created opportunities to work from home using technology. This has created a demand for digitally talented workers in the workplace. Considering these aspects, Skill Jobs along with BSHRM have been organizing this virtual job fest.

The Meet the Press also informed that a four-day grooming session under the supervision of professional career experts for all participants will be arranged  in the Virtual Job Fest with certification by Daffodil International University’s Human Resource Development Institute (HRDI)

The candidates will also receive online profile in Skill Jobs, and special discounts will be available for all online courses in skill jobs and go-edu platform.

All activities of Virtual Job Fest like dropping CV, candidate selection, taking interviews, grooming sessions and final employment will be held on the online platform of Skill.jobs. Interested desired candidates can submit their CV through online from 13-23 June. Special training of selected candidates will be held on 26-29 June, Virtual interview will be held from 3-5 July and finally virtual recruitment will be held on 7 July.
