Prof. Mahbub Ul Haque Majumder appoints as Pro-Vice Chancellor of Daffodil International University for second time

Professor Dr. S M Mahabub-Ul-Haque Majumder has been appointed as Pro Vice Chancellor of Daffodil International University (DIU) for the second time. The Ministry of Education issued an official memo on August 01, 2021 confirming his appointment as ordered by the Honorable President of the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh and Chancellor of Daffodil International University. He formally handed over his joining letter yesterday on 09 August 2021 to Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Board of Trustees, Daffodil International University. Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Board of Trustees welcomed him at his new position and congratulated him. 

Professor Dr. S M Mahbub Ul Haque Majumder successfully completed his first tenure as Pro Vice Chancellor of DIU from May 17, 2017 to May 16, 2021. He started his career as a lecturer in the Chemistry Department at Chittagong University as Lecturer in 1970. He served as Professor & Chairman of the Department of Chemistry of Chittagong University from 1996-1999 and served as Acting Registrar of Chittagong University from 1995-1999.  Professor Mahbub also served as Dean, Curriculum Development & Evaluation Center, National University, Gazipur from 2000-2003. 

Professor Mahbub joined Daffodil International University in 2005 as Founder Head of the Department of Textile Engineering, DIU and successfully performed the responsibilities of Controller of Examinations and Dean, FSIT and many other important positions of the university.  

During his long professional life Professor Mahbub enjoyed a talent Scholarship, UNESCO Fellowship and British Council Scholarship. He also supervised more than 80 students both undergraduate and in his post graduate level.

He is a life member of Bangladesh Association for the advancement of Science 

(BAAS) & Bangladesh Chemical Society (BCS) and Consulting Editor of American Biological Institute.
