On June 4, 2022, a massive explosion happened and a fire broke out at the BM Inland Container Depot, at Chattogram and as a result, the country witnessed a traffic loss of lives and injuries of the people at the locality. People from all over the country declared solidarity with the people affected by the disaster. Daffodil Institute of IT, Chattogram also extended their hand of cooperation to help the victims as part of its social commitment. A team was formed including the teacher and management staff, and students. They took quick action and stood beside the distressed people with the emergency materials like dry food, mineral water, medicine like burn cream, pain killer, hand sanitizer, etc. and handed them over to the burn unit of Chattogram Medical College Hospital. The Teachers and Staff also donated their one-day salary to support them.
